First of all I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I know it is late but I have been busy.
Speaking of busy. I will now be moving into tech support. yep. Out of customer care and into the wolf pit of troubleshooting. The product is the ever lovable and addictive BlackBerry. I am looking forward to it.
The price of gas dropped this week. It dropped to a shocking 69.6 cents a litre. Whoo Hoo. Drop baby drop.
Well the NFL has announced the Buffalo Bills will be playing some pre- season games in Toronto as well as a regular season home game here as well. I say to the NFL to GO HOME. It would be a complete shame if the NFL kills the CFL. The CFL is a much better product. The NFL has the advertising and marketing. There are some differences between the two leagues. The first is the ball. The NFL has a ball that is easier to throw but you could not kick very far. When I see NFL place kickers having issues of 40 yards i have to laugh. In the CFL it is a tough kick only after 55 yards. Downs The CFL 3 the NFL 4. No 15 minute drive to eat the clock. More possessions means more opportunities to score. The field is longer in the CFL. The CFL has 1 extra player. And don’t forget end-zone. The big end-zone makes it tougher for the defence. I would challenge anyone with an open mind to watch a CFL game and an NFL game. I bet you would like the CFL game better as there are more points on the score board.
Well it is Super Bore (I mean Bowl) weekend. Could there be anything more hyped to produce a nausea inducing game? Is there any reason to have endless hours of inane chatter from talking heads. I mean as much as I like as I like the Fox pregame for most Sundays. Hours and hours of drivel does not impress me. Then there is the legalized gouging for those that want to attend the event. You can’t turn on tv without some reference to the Super Bowl. It doesn’t matter if the world is falling apart. How many people are aware of the continuing violence in Kenya? Or the battles in Chad? All that matters is the Super Bowl. A sporting event with millionaire players playing for their billionaire owners in front of people who could not find Chad and Kenya on a marked map. So enjoy the Toilet Bowl.
Well it is now the Silly Season. The US Presidential Primaries are in full swing. Just as an observation from North of the Border I can see why people do not vote. The list of candidates that are available to choose from are pathetic. Do you want crap A or Crap B. It does not matter whether they are Republican or Democrat. It is still two political parties that are going to bankrupt the US and wonder why it happened. So Let’s take a loom at the candidates:
Hillary Clinton. Now if this isn’t an excuse to vote her and Bill to some place in Antarctica the I don’t know what is. Crying during and interview. So she wants to play mean and dirty but when attacked she cries? I think it is time to end the Clinton’s grip on any power in the US. Next
Barrick Obama: A different face but no experience. Just another person to spend taxpayers money and speed up the bankruptcy process.
John Edwards: This is too funny. A lawyer acting as the people’s champion. Hmmm he must think there is an ambulance somewhere.
Now for the Republicans.
Mike Huckabee: Arkansas please stop sending your Governors out for election on the national stage.
John McCain: Well who else would try and kill the first amendment. It is hard to be challenged for your job if nobody can say anything.
Mitt Rommney: I am sorry Mitt but for some reason you vaguely look like Nixon.
Rudy Guiliani: You are just more of the same. Honestly I am sick of 9/11. Yes it was a tragedy but let’s face it. 9/11 is killing civil liberties and nobody is willing to stand up and take their freedom back.
Everyone Else: your 15 minutes are now up. Please remember to take your trash and recycle responsibly.
The only good thing is that Bush/Chenney will be gone. The freedoms that they have squashed will be their legacy.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Mine was great until 10:00 pm Christmas day. That’s when I noticed the developing flat on one of my tires. A Cape Breton pot hole claimed not only 1 tire but two as well as a set of rims. Then to compound the problem is the Grinch like Walmart employee that I tried to make a warranty claim from. Two winter tires developed blisters on the side wall. One of them even has a hole in it. Of course Walmart (store level) denied any responsibility so I was stuck buying 2 more tires. Why Walmart again you may ask. It is because the size of tire is hard to get. Low profile 16 inch tires are hard to find. Knowing I was over the barrel , i bit the bullet and got the tires. Walmart could not even install them as the rims were bent and they had no rims in stock. So it was a trip to Crappy Tire for 2 rims and installation. So after that was all done I managed to get on the road and arrive in Halifax just as it started to snow/rain/freezing rain/ice pellet.
But for everyone else I hope their Christmas was a bit more Merrier than mine. I await the new Year with baited breath.
Well this week I am on the “fun” shift. The great 1 am to 9:30 am shift. it is 1:30 am and I already feel the brun of my eyes. I have a box of tea bags in my cabinet and I am drinking some “energy drinks”. and no it is not Red Bull. Red Bull to me tastes like something from the Bull (I will let you guess at what it is). It is quiet. I am just responding to some email that has been hanging around for way too long. And right now I feel like curling up and catching a few zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz’s. My mind is now wandering.
